Job summary

Kindredventures is seeking a senior backend engineer to own architecture and implementation of cross-border money movement systems. You’ll work directly with the CTO and founding team on scalable services implemented in Go and TS/React, with a strong fintech focus and autonomous execution.

You will design robust APIs, integrate with banks and rails, and contribute to observability and incident response. The role offers remote work in the US and a high-ownership environment designed for delivery.”

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with strong Go and TypeScript proficiency.
• Deep background in fintech, payments, or financial infrastructure: money movement, ledgering, or transaction systems.
• Strong systems design instincts with clear trade-off reasoning.
• Experience building and running production systems at scale: observability, reliability, graceful degradation.
• Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong written communicator.
• Experience using AI tools and understanding what you’ve built.

Responsibilities

• Build core money movement APIs and transaction infrastructure.
• Integrate with banks, payment rails, and stablecoin networks.
• Develop scalable, fault-tolerant backend services in Go.
• Create high-quality, well-tested components in TS/React.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and incident response tooling.
• Support internal operations and compliance systems.
