Job summary

Method, based in the United States, seeks a Senior Counsel to own the commercial contracting lifecycle for lending today and emerging commerce tomorrow. You will draft, review, and negotiate agreements, acting as the primary legal partner to GTM teams to speed deal velocity and reduce friction.

You will design AI-assisted workflows and playbooks that scale the legal function, advise on regulatory and product questions, and help expand the legal footprint as Method grows across fintech offerings.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years post-JD experience in commercial law within consumer finance.
• Proven ability to draft, review and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements.
• Deep familiarity with regulatory and commercial aspects of consumer financial products.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate lending agreements independently from first draft to signature.
• Partner with go-to-market teams as the primary legal contact to accelerate deals.
• Design AI-powered workflows and playbooks to speed up the Legal function.
• Build cross-functional processes between Legal, Sales, Compliance and Product.
