Job summary

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP).
• Experience developing and preparing financial documents.
• Experience using a personal computer to develop, analyze, and report on financial data.
• Experience analyzing financial activities and recommending management action.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, adjusting entries, accruals, and other entries in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepare complex cost and revenues allocations to various programs.
• Develop, maintain, review, and reconcile financial data in the state accounting system.
• Audit revenue reports and reconcile revenue to cash in the general ledger.
• Use financial accounting software and database queries to prepare reports for managers.
