Job summary

Idaho State University in Pocatello seeks a Financial Analyst for Financial Reporting & Analysis to assist in preparing the annual audited financial statements and quarterly SBOE reports. The role ensures timely, accurate reporting in accordance with policies and GAAP, and supports external audits and new accounting standards.

The position is on-campus only, not eligible for remote work, with a salary range of $60,000–$65,000 and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional financial analysis experience.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and report findings.
• Proficiency with Excel including pivot tables and data analysis.
• Strong communication to explain complex financial info.
• Attention to detail, organization, and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly SBOE reports and annual audited statements narratives.
• Assist external audit process coordination and fieldwork.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and process documentation.
• Reconcile cash/bank and perform complex analyses.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other departments.
