Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor for a leading financial institution in East London. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, consumer protection, and corporate governance within the financial sector, providing practical, business-oriented legal advice.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of post-qualification experience in financial services law, strong drafting and analytical abilities, and a track record of advising on FICA, FAIS, and POPIA compliance.

Qualifikationen

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent qualification.
• Admission as an Attorney or Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in financial services law.
• Experience in regulatory compliance (FICA, FAIS, POPIA).
• Strong contract law knowledge and drafting skills.
• Excellent analytical, drafting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret complex legislation and provide clear guidance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in East London or Eastern Cape is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal advice on financial services regulations including FICA, FAIS, POPIA.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financial services agreements and customer contracts.
• Ensure compliance with legislation and regulatory requirements affecting the financial sector.

• Conduct legal research on financial law developments and provide strategic recommendations.
