Job summary

BlackSky, a real-time intelligence company, seeks a Financial Reporting Manager to support SEC filings and quarterly/annual reporting from Herndon, VA in a hybrid setup. The role emphasizes US GAAP expertise, CPA credentials, and coordination with auditors, investor relations, and legal to ensure accurate disclosures.

You will manage consolidated financial statements, footnote disclosures, XBRL tagging, and SOX controls while maintaining accounting policies and supporting audit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with an active CPA license.
• Minimum five years of experience in public company audit, financial reporting, and/or technical accounting.
• Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Experience with Workiva.
• Experience in SaaS, satellite/space, or related technology industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial reporting packages (Balance Sheets, Statements of Operations, Statements of Cash Flows).
• Assist in drafting quarterly and annual footnote disclosures and MD&A.
• Support SEC filings including 10-K/10-Q, proxy statements, and 8-K disclosures.
