Job summary

Associate Staffing, a leading technology and engineering organization, is seeking an Accounting Manager based in Houston, TX. You will lead day-to-day operational accounting, oversee month-end close, and ensure accurate financial reporting in a fast-paced environment, with periodic travel to Florida.

The ideal candidate has strong SEC reporting experience, deep US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with auditors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Significant experience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close.
• Prior experience with SEC filings and technical accounting research.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operational accounting activities and month-end close processes
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements and supporting schedules
• Manage SEC reporting requirements, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K disclosures
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and internal policies
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to resolve reporting issues
• Support external audits and coordinate with auditors
• Conduct technical accounting research and documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and reporting efficiencies
• Contribute to special projects and finance initiatives
