Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC seeks a Manager, Accounting & Financial Reporting in Houston to lead and mentor a team, oversee month-end close, and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.

This role provides direct exposure to executive leadership as the Controller's right hand, broad ownership of accounting operations, and ERP/NetSuite optimization, with audits, treasury, and strategic finance initiatives across the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with month-end close and financial statements.
• CPA preferred.
• NetSuite experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee month-end close and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and key accounting areas.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Support audits, tax requests, and compliance requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Drive process improvements and ERP/NetSuite enhancements.
