Job summary

Cno Financial Group in the United States is seeking a Sr Financial Reporting Analyst to prepare GAAP financial statements for the consolidated entity and provide audit-ready entries and reconciliations. The role supports the manager with analysis and commentary on significant fluctuations across multiple nonlife entities.

With a Bachelor’s in accounting and at least three years in financial reporting, you will work with Excel and other Office tools to ensure accurate reporting, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• Three years of experience in a Financial Reporting Analyst position.
• Professional experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic GAAP financial statements for the consolidated entity, including balance sheet, income statement, roll forward of shareholders' equity and cash flows with appropriate eliminations for intercompany transactions.
• Prepare journal entries, elimination entries and reconciliations that provide adequate audit evidence.
• Provide documentation and analysis that supports the needs of the Manager and identify potential issues for review.
• Assist in providing commentary to explain significant fluctuations between actual results for current and prior year for several nonlife entities.
• Prepare financial information for the renewal of TPA licenses in several states.
• Prepare budget and forecast information related to equity‑based compensation.
• Prepare 10‑Q/10‑K disclosures related to equity‑based compensation and per‑share information; also prepare Parent‑Company only financial statements for the 10‑K.
• Review and provide equity‑based compensation information for executive management to the legal department in connection with the preparation of the proxy statement.
• Help accumulate accounting and financial information.
• Contribute to the maintenance of a strong internal control environment meeting SOX objectives.
