Job summary

This role supports monthly close, quarterly and annual reporting, audits, and continuous improvements in reporting processes.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of GAAP/SAP experience, CPA progress preferred, and knowledge of statutory accounting in the insurance industry.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5–7 years of experience with GAAP and SAP.
• Knowledge of statutory accounting principles or insurance industry experience preferred.
• CPA designation or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Draft and maintain disclosures, footnotes, and accounting memos.
• Research and implement new or complex accounting standards.
• Analyze financial results with variance and trend analysis.
• Coordinate external audits and internal audit requests.
• Coordinate annual tax filings with external consultants.
• Develop and maintain internal controls for GAAP and statutory requirements.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency.
• Mentor junior analysts or accountants as applicable.
