Senior Financial Reporting Analyst

This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Financial Reporting Analyst to join our accounting team. The analyst will handle external and internal reporting, including SEC filings and other regulatory reports. Responsibilities also include technical accounting research, financial audits, SOX controls, and various projects. The ideal candidate will collaborate effectively across teams.

Today, Ducommun is a global provider of manufacturing solutions for aerospace, defense, and industrial markets, specializing in electronic and structural systems for aircraft, military, space, and industrial applications.

Job Summary

1. Assist in preparing 10-K and 10-Q filings, ensuring compliance with SEC guidelines and deadlines.
2. Assist in preparing financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
3. Prepare disclosures such as earnings per share, diluted shares, stock reconciliation, and disclosure checklists.
4. Provide technical support, including researching accounting issues and documenting conclusions.
5. Evaluate new accounting pronouncements for potential impacts.
6. Support internal and external financial audits.
7. Participate in general accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
8. Maintain internal controls in line with SOX 404 requirements.
9. Assist with month-end close and internal reporting.
10. Maintain BaanV/BaanLN accounting software and reports.
11. Lead or participate in special projects as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
2. Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
3. Experience with Workiva.
4. Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably Baan.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Attention to detail for accuracy in financial data.
7. Analytical skills to understand accounting implications.
8. Ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
9. Knowledge of internal controls and SOX 404 compliance.

Required Experience and Education

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited institution.
2. CPA or CPA candidate.
3. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 3 years in public accounting and 2 years in SEC reporting.

Base salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000, paid salaried.
