Safety National, based in Saint Louis, MO, is seeking an Accountant IV, Financial Reporting, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting under STAT, GAAP, and IFRS. You will contribute to monthly close, prepare statements, and support reporting requirements for management and external stakeholders.

In this role you will collaborate across the organization, provide guidance on reporting matters, and assist with budgeting and analysis.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 3+ years in public accounting or insurance industry.
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and perform first-level reviews of complex analytical reports and journal entries during the monthly financial close.
• Prepare and review components of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, disclosures, and management and board reports.
• Research and interpret STAT, GAAP, and IFRS accounting principles.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on financial reporting requirements for internal stakeholders.
• Support management in preparing components of the annual budget and conducting financial analysis.
• Collaborate with other accounting functions to process transactions, reconcile accounts, and support departmental accounting activities.
• Participate in building, testing, and implementing system enhancements that improve accounting processes and reporting capabilities.
• Assist with coordination and information requests involving internal and external auditors and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet reporting deadlines.
