Job summary

The Vermont Army National Guard seeks a Financial Management Analyst to lead financial policy, oversee obligation, accounting, disbursement, and reporting of federal funds allocated to the state.

As the Chief, Financial Officer, you will advise the Adjutant General and USPFO, develop and implement the financial plan, monitor budgets, and ensure full compliance with laws, regulations, and internal controls. You will supervise personnel and coordinate audits to support mission readiness.

Responsibilities

• Directs financial management policy for ARNG military units; maintains responsibility for obligation, accounting, disbursement and financial controls.
• Advises the state Adjutant General, USPFO and senior staff on financial matters; provides briefings and advisory services.
• Manages budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, travel and financial reporting; ensures auditable records and compliance with laws.
