Job summary

The Oregon Air National Guard 142nd Wing, Comptroller Flight, seeks a Financial Management Analyst (GS-0501-9/11) to plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive accounting and financial management analysis, decision support, and quality reviews for base-level programs.

Responsibilities include reviewing vouchers and payments, aggregating data for senior leadership, processing payroll and entitlements, and ensuring compliance with DoD regulations and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Education requirements per GS-09/11: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 additional years of higher level education; for GS-11, Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform comprehensive accounting and financial management analysis, decision support, and quality reviews for base-level programs.
• Review accounting and pay documents, travel vouchers, and vendor payments for accuracy and validity.
• Aggregate data from multiple financial systems to provide timely financial reporting to senior leaders and oversight authorities.
• Analyze and process financial services transactions (payroll, debts, entitlements) with quality assurance techniques.
• Provide interpretation of DoD/DFAS guidelines and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist with resolving entitlements discrepancies and interfacing with DoD agencies.
