Job summary

Munich Re America Services (MRAS) is seeking a Sr. Planning Manager in Princeton, NJ to lead the development of legal entity plans, forecasts, and related reporting for MRAC, MAHC, and subsidiaries. The role involves IFRS and U.S.

STAT frameworks, data systems like GT, ECON, FSRI, GPS and TM1, and cross-functional collaboration with senior management. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in accounting/finance, strong analytical and communication skills, and familiarity with reinsurance entities.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Mathematics; CPA or MBA designations preferred but not required
10+ years accounting or finance experience preferred.
Familiarity with U.S. Statutory and IFRS accounting principles; Working knowledge of ECON, Global Template, TM1 (preferred)
Previous experience working with reinsurance and insurance entities
Excellent financial analysis skills; High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, & PowerPoint) required
Proven ability to understand and prioritize requirements, and deliver on time
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the experience, confidence and credibility to work and collaborate with others
Strong team orientation, collaborating with co-workers to develop and implement solutions

Responsibilities

Prepare the legal entity plan and forecast requirements for MRAC and MAHC, income statement and balance sheets.
Annual Plan development, US and Munich reporting requirements for the multi-year plan.
Quarterly financial forecast; Validate and analyze plan and forecast submissions; resolve issues.
Familiarity with multiple accounting bases: IFRS and U.S. STAT.
Data management across multiple systems: GT, ECON, FSRI, GPS and TM1.
Perform variance analysis and provide insight of key drivers.
Prepare management reports and analysis including quarterly and annual reporting.
Partner with team members to understand Management View vs legal view requirements.
Ad hoc projects including onboarding of new entities through acquisitions.
