Our HQ in Torrance, CA, is hiring for a Senior Financial Planner. In this role, you will collaborate with advisors to create customized financial plans, prepare and review spreadsheets, assist in seminars, support training of advisors, and provide additional support to the Financial Planning Director. Salary range: $93,500 - $115,500 plus annual bonus

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work with advisors on clients with assets under management of $2 million or more. Consult with the Financial Planning Manager for clients with assets of $5 million and above, involving more complex financial plans.
  • Gather data for financial planning through client questionnaires, verify answers, and enter data into the financial planning system.
  • Use financial planning software to generate and review financial plans with advisors.
  • Create specific action plans based on recommendations in the financial plan.
  • Analyze financial and business planning issues by creating and reviewing spreadsheets.
  • Assess and upgrade financial planning software to optimize client engagement.
  • Collaborate with Operations and IT for system enhancements and new developments.
  • Coordinate with Marketing to review and refine client-facing materials.
  • Conduct research as needed for the Financial Planning Director.
  • Participate in training sessions to teach the firm's culture and sales process.
  • Lead financial planning seminars for clients, centers of influence, and local branches.
  • Assist in M&A efforts, including staff training and integration.
  • Support onboarding and training of new staff in planning and advisory sectors.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • CFP Certification required.
  • Proficiency in financial planning software such as eMoney (required); Money Guide Pro and Holistiplan preferred.
  • 3-7 years of experience in financial services or related fields, with client-facing experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or related fields.
  • Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to work independently with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong data organization and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel; programming skills are a plus.
