Base pay range

$90,000.00/yr - $115,000.00/yr

Job Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Business Office Services Team for Independent Schools. This role manages bookkeeping, controller functions, and transactional support, requiring strong relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable, reconcile bank and credit card statements, prepare month-end entries, and support treasury management.
  • Participate in bi-weekly meetings with stakeholders, support process improvements, and collaborate on HR-related tasks.
  • Process accounts payable, oversee tuition and fee management, and maintain capital assets and investments records.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and standards.
  • Support treasury functions, including cash flow management and fund transfers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial management or accounting, preferably in education.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Bill, and Divvy preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll, and accounts management.
  • Excellent communication, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Additional Details:
  • Part-time hours for bookkeeping and controller functions, and additional hours for audit support.
  • Remote work opportunity.
  • Start date around early June, with a background check required.

This role is vital to the financial health and operational success of the school, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely reporting across functions.
