Job summary

Air Force Research Laboratory in the United States seeks an organizational senior functional (OSF) to lead financial management across a mission organization. The role directs and coordinates work through staff and provides counsel on senior management policies and directives.

Responsibilities include budgeting, cost estimation, program control, and cross-disciplinary collaboration with USAF/USSF, MAJCOMS, COCOMS, and industry partners, with emphasis on innovation and programmatic rigor.

• Experience providing financial guidance to research/scientific teams.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates and oversees work through subordinate employees.
• Advises and provides counsel to employees on policies and directives of senior management.
• Leads and enables financial management work: budget formulation, execution, analysis, cost estimation, accounting, governance, policy, and program control.
• Resolves multi-faceted problems across disciplines.
• Provides financial management guidance to research teams to foster collaboration and optimize resources.
