Job summary

DFAS in the United States seeks a Chief, Organizational Management, Site Support Office (SSO) to lead all related division activities and advise the Site Director on recruitment, selection, and retention. The role coordinates with HR staff, processes personnel actions, and oversees financial/resource management including budgets and contracts to align manpower with current and future needs.

DoD FM certification and security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-12 for the GS-13 level) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Responsibilities

• Chief, Organizational Management, Site Support Office (SSO) with responsibility for all related division activities.
• Provide advice and assistance to the Site Director on recruitment, selection, and employee retention.
• Serve as liaison with key HR staff to ensure understanding of current policy and procedures and provide information/briefings to the Site Director.
• Process requests for personnel actions and employee incentive awards for Site Operations.
• Oversee financial and resource management, planning and directing budgets, manpower, and contracts.
• Plan, coordinate and administer the Site Support Office functions and develop concept plans aligning authorizations to current and future requirements.
