Job summary

Lockton Insurance and Claims Counsel seeks an experienced attorney to manage high-volume financial lines claims, including D&O, E&O, and cyber, while advising clients and internal teams on coverage and solutions. The role requires strong leadership and executive presence to interface with senior stakeholders.

Qualified candidates will have a Law degree and 5+ years in insurance-related legal work, with proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Law degree required; business-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience as an attorney with an insurance company, law firm or other corporation.
• Understanding of the overall business, operations, and commercial insurance needs of clients.
• Executive level presence to interface with top management, representing Lockton in a professional manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Handle a large volume of financial lines claims, including D&O, E&O, Fiduciary, Crime, Cyber and Employment Practices.
• Guide clients through the claims process and assist in accessing carrier resources.
• Analyze coverage and oversee timely reporting of claims.
• Advise and consult on coverage issues and potential insurance solutions.
• Review financial lines policies for coverage gaps and issues; communicate with clients.
• Represent Lockton at client meetings and external events.
