Job summary

KPMG LLP in Chicago is seeking a Senior Associate in Financial Due Diligence within our Deal Advisory practice. You will participate in buy-side and sell-side engagements, delivering financial due diligence and related accounting advisory services to Fortune 1000 companies, private equity investors, and lenders.

You will interface with senior client executives, analyze target data to identify earnings quality and working capital implications, and contribute to valuation discussions and advisory

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction services at a Top Ten firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or CPA-eligible; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting issues, IFRS, M&A, or transaction services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Participate in buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements providing financial due diligence and related services.
• Interface with senior executives of clients and target companies.
• Analyze data to identify historical and projected trends, quality of earnings, and working capital implications.
• Create tailored transaction advisory reports on normalized earnings, debt considerations, and business combinations.
