Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Senior Associate in Financial Due Diligence for our Deal Advisory practice in Chicago, IL. You will participate in buy-side and sell-side engagements, delivering rigorous financial analysis and advisory services.

You interface with client executives, analyze data for trends and potential liabilities, and contribute to reporting on earnings normalization, cash flow, and valuation inputs. This role requires strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, advisory, financial audit, or transaction services at a top Ten firm.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA eligible; CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge in US GAAP, SEC reporting, IFRS, M&A, or transaction services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Willingness to travel.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Participate in buy-side and sell-side diligence and advisory engagements for Fortune 1000 companies and private equity clients.
• Interface with client executives and target company leadership.
• Analyze target data to identify trends, quality of earnings, and risks impacting valuation and negotiation.
• Create tailored transaction reports covering earnings normalization, valuation inputs, and indebtedness considerations.
