Role Overview

The ideal candidate is a strategic and detail-oriented Controller with extensive experience in multi-entity financial management. This role is crucial in developing comprehensive financial controls, implementing rigorous expense tracking systems, and providing transparent financial insights that will support the company's aggressive growth objectives. The Controller will be a key strategic partner, working closely with leadership to optimize financial operations and ensure fiscal accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain comprehensive financial tracking and control systems
• Manage complex multi-entity and multi-state financial operations
• Develop and implement robust expense monitoring and reporting processes
• Prepare detailed financial reports for executive leadership
• Create and enforce internal financial policies and compliance procedures
• Conduct thorough financial audits and identify optimization opportunities
• Manage accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger operations
• Support strategic financial decision-making through accurate and timely reporting
• Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• CPA Certification
• 7-10 years of controller or senior financial management experience
• Experience with a personal injury or other type of law firm
• Proven expertise in multi-entity financial management
• Advanced knowledge of financial operations and accounting principles
• Strong track record of implementing financial controls
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency in advanced financial software and reporting tools
• Experience with professional indemnity insurance
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
