Job summary

Edelman Smithfield, part of Daniel J. Edelman Holdings, seeks a Senior Account Supervisor to lead financial communications programs for a diverse client roster. You will counsel senior executives, manage media relations, and guide teams across complex campaigns.

Ideal candidates bring strong capital markets fluency, proven leadership of large projects, and a track record of delivering high-impact communications for financial services clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Communications Marketing and/or related fields, including agency or in-house communications roles.
• Fluent in capital markets with ability to counsel senior executives on financial communications matters and media relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creation of communications plans and goals, including development of both tactical and strategic elements.
• Proven ability to lead large projects and teams on sizable accounts.
• Creates, drives and executes strategic media relations programs.
• Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of clients' businesses and their stakeholders, and shares this knowledge with the account team.
• Sets client program goals and manages against them.
• Possesses excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to delegate tactical assignments and edit work.
• Serve as daily client contact and as client lead.
• Oversees quality and operational performance of accounts, ensuring high-quality work and deadline adherence.
• Manage and reconcile account budgets, processing invoices and reporting financial updates to senior account and client leadership.
• Supervise staff by motivating, coaching, providing feedback, and conducting reviews.
