Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Specialist II, Financial Clearance, Patient Access for a part-time day shift. You will research, analyze and resolve complex authorization cases, and prepare analytical reports to support leadership decisions.

You will use multiple systems, ensure confidentiality and safety, and collaborate on performance improvements to improve patient experience. National HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA certification is required within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of financial clearance/authorization experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience with complex facility-based ancillary testing across multiple facilities/states.
• Certification in HFMA CRCR or NAHAM CHAA within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Researches, collects & analyzes information; identifies opportunities, develops solutions, and leads through resolution.
• Collaborates on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience.
• Responsible for distribution of analytical reports.
• Utilizes multiple system applications to perform analysis, create reports & develop educational materials.
• Synthesizes & analyzes data and provides detailed summaries including graphical data presentations illustrating trends and recommending practical options or solutions while considering the impact on business strategy & supporting leadership decision making.
