Job summary

Children's Hospital Colorado is seeking a Financial Clearance Coordinator Sr to manage high-risk insurance accounts within the Finance department. You will verify insurance benefits, obtain authorizations, and update cost estimates before outpatient visits or admissions.

The role acts as a technical lead and SME, liaising with families, providers, and insurers to ensure financial clearance. Hybrid schedule, full-time, 40 hours weekly; shift Mon-Fri 8am-5:30pm.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of customer service experience.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience with insurance verification or medical billing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a subject matter expert in finance and leads high-risk accounts.
• Verifies insurance benefits and secures authorizations and pre-certifications.
• Communicates cost estimates to families prior to services.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and documents contacts in PHI-secured systems.
• Coordinates with families, clinics, and insurers to secure payments.
