Essential Utilities, Inc. is seeking a temp/contract Business Analyst IV in the Bryn Mawr, PA area to support Financial & Operational Analytics and strategic initiatives for the Executive Leadership Team.

The role reports to Financial Planning & Analysis and emphasizes budget modeling, data-driven insights, and process improvements across the organization. A successful candidate will develop expertise in budget management, data visualization, and cross-functional collaboration, including mergers

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or technical discipline; MBA/CFA is a plus.
• 5–10 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or an analyst role, preferably in a regulated utility.
• Proficiency with MS Office; SAP/SAC experience preferred.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision making.
• Willingness to travel up to 35%.

Responsibilities

• Perform financial-operational analyses and build metrics and budget models with executive leadership.
• Create data-driven insights via analytics and information visualization.
• Lead analytics discussions and build business cases for process improvements.
• Identify data sources and scrub data for analyzing costs across subsidiaries.
• Develop training to improve data usage for better decision-making.
• Support municipal acquisition evaluations and legislative initiatives with ratemaking impact.
• Contribute to the Finance of the Future through knowledge sharing.
