Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to apply accounting principles to a portfolio of sponsored research awards. You will handle cost transfers, award receivables, and cash receipts, and prepare sponsor draws, invoices and financial reports.

The role requires 3–5 years in Research Finance or Grant Accounting, proficiency with spreadsheets and Workday, and the ability to work independently while guiding junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of Research Finance or Grant Accounting experience.
• Proficiency with computer applications such as spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement, present data clearly and communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as in an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Process and reconcile monthly GL data.
• Maintain costing tables, including statistics and overhead allocations for cost processing.
• Assist in the development and distribution of various financial and statistical reports, including scheduled standard reports and ad hoc reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality of departments, clinics, and patient information.
• Compile financial information and assist in the preparation and explanation of reports from Workday.
• Use software applications to assemble and format data in a user-friendly manner.
• Keep abreast of laws and regulations that apply to the finance community.
