Job summary

Twilio is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in R&D Finance to partner with engineering and product teams. You will forecast cloud infrastructure spend, build driver-based models, and provide strategic insights on cost efficiency across AWS hosting and related expenses.

The role requires strong financial modeling, autonomy in a dynamic environment, and the ability to explain complex cloud cost structures to non-financial stakeholders. Remote opportunity with global scope.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of finance experience in progressive FP&A, operational finance or strategic corporate finance roles.
• Analytical, problem-solving mindset with ability to investigate complex technical issues and cloud data footprints.
• Excel/Google Sheets driver-based models for unit economics and cloud spend analysis.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments and drive strategic conversations.
• Excellent communication to translate cloud architecture variances to non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Act as an autonomous finance partner to R&D, Product, and Engineering leadership.
• Lead monthly and quarterly forecasting for R&D hosting infrastructure.
• Collaborate across Accounting, Engineering, FP&A, and FinOps for accurate COGS/OpEx classifications.
• Develop dynamic models to manage non-linear cloud billings from providers and partners.
• Identify cost-containment opportunities and work with product managers on efficiency.
• Build flexible financial models to support scenario planning and ROI analysis.
