Job summary

The Ohio Department of Public Safety in Columbus is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to independently research and analyze complex information, resolve errors, and support payroll projections, administrative budget planning and allocation.

You will report to the Financial Analyst Supervisor and manage account appropriations, providing account coding information for divisions such as BMV, EMS, and ADM, and discuss budget concerns with managers.

Qualifications

• 44+ mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in accounting/finance with advanced spreadsheet experience.
• Undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance or related field.
• AND 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in accounting/finance with advanced spreadsheet experience.
• Graduate core program in business administration, accounting or finance or related field.
• AND 6 mos. exp. or 6 mos. trg. in accounting/finance with advanced spreadsheet experience.
• 12 mos. exp. as Financial Analyst, 66562 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Independently research and analyze complex financial information to resolve errors and manage fiscal aspects of program areas.
• Provide payroll projections, administrative budget planning and allocation support.
• Prepare budgetary evaluations and discuss budget concerns with appropriate managerial staff.
• Manage account appropriations and provide account coding information for divisions such as BMV, EMS, and ADM.
