Job summary

Ohio Department of Public Safety in Columbus, OH seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to independently analyze complex data, resolve fiscal issues, and support payroll projections and budget planning. Qualifications

• Minimum 42 months of accounting or finance experience or related training with advanced spreadsheet skills.
• Alternative: undergraduate core program in business admin, accounting or finance with 18 months of relevant experience.
• Alternative: graduate program with 6 months of relevant accounting/finance experience.

Responsibilities

• Independently research and analyze complex information to resolve errors and manage fiscal aspects of programs.
• Provide payroll projections, administrative budget planning and allocation support.
• Prepare budget evaluations and discuss concerns with managerial staff.
• Manage account appropriations and provide coding information for divisions such as BMV, EMS, and ADM.
