Job summary

System One is partnering with a client to recruit a Senior Financial Analyst who will collaborate with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams to deliver financial insights that support purchasing, cost management, forecasting, and business decisions. The role emphasizes direct material costs, procurement performance, and accurate financial reporting.

The candidate will analyze spend, variances, and trends, assist with month-end close, and prepare reports comparing Actuals to Budgets and forecasts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or related field.
• Manufacturing or Supply Chain/Procurement experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sourcing and Supply Chain teams on purchasing and cost management decisions.
• Analyze direct material spend, purchase price variances, and cost trends to identify risks and opportunities.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and month-end close related to procurement and material costs.
• Prepare financial reporting comparing actuals vs. budget, forecast, and prior periods.
• Track cost reduction initiatives and report on realized savings.
• Identify financial discrepancies and collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
• Improve financial reporting processes, data accuracy, and efficiency.
• Provide ad hoc analysis and recommendations to support business and strategic decisions.
