Job summary

Specialty Building Products is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support category management, strategic sourcing, and procurement reporting as part of SBP's corporate procurement organization.

The role focuses on building data foundations for sourcing decisions, maintaining spend baselines, and collaborating with branches and stakeholders to validate data and findings. You will analyze bids, support RFP/RFI materials, and help drive savings opportunities across categories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Min 3 years of experience in procurement, operations, finance, or related analytical role.
• Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Able to use AI to support tactical tasks.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Preferred: experience supporting sourcing events and negotiations.
• Preferred: experience with ERP, spend analytics, procurement platforms.
• Preferred: experience in distribution, manufacturing, or multi-site org.
• Willing to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Builds the data foundation powering sourcing decisions via spend baselining, market analysis, and reporting.
• Maintain spend baselines across categories and validate data.
• Coordinate with branches and stakeholders to collect data and validate findings.
• Clean, reconcile, and analyze large datasets to identify savings opportunities.
• Develop category strategy materials and stakeholder-ready summaries.
• Support development of RFP/RFI materials and bid evaluations.
• Analyze supplier bids and market data to identify savings opportunities.
• Support supplier onboarding, compliance tracking, and performance management.
• Maintain category trackers, dashboards, and program-wide reporting.
