Job Description

Senior BAE Systems' Electronic Systems (ES) Sector is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Material & Inventory Management (MIM) Finance Team. The selected candidate will support a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining compliance with our Material Management and Accounting System (MMAS). This role involves managing inventory controls, reporting, and audits of over $1B of inventory, engaging with multiple sites, functions, and program teams across the sector. It offers a unique opportunity to understand how BAE Systems operates from both a financial and operational perspective.

This position can be performed remotely on a full-time basis, with occasional in-person meetings that may require travel to programs, sites, or the broader Program Services Tools and Training (PST&T) Team.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform monthly inventory account reconciliations and disposition variances promptly.
  2. Support Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) through managing forecast releases with finance leadership.
  3. Analyze financial exposure related to inventory to ensure adequate funding.
  4. Monitor and improve Inventory Metrics to address risks and identify opportunities.
  5. Use data analysis to develop and implement innovative solutions for increased efficiencies and elimination of non-value-added activities.
  6. Gain exposure to Senior Management through project initiatives such as new tools and processes.
  7. Provide monthly executive presentations on Inventory KPIs (Aged Inventory, Project Closeout, Residual Material, etc.) and assist with audits.
  8. Support Finance, Operations, and Program teams through training and learning sessions.
  9. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain procedures and their financial impact.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with 4+ years of experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Strong prioritization and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written, across functions and leadership levels.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
  • Familiarity with DFAR, FAR, MMAS, and inventory policies and procedures.
  • Sound judgment in decision-making, policy compliance.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with internal controls, audit, and accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, PivotTables, filters, etc.).
Pay Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $81,156 - $137,964

Note: Salaries depend on various factors including market conditions, qualifications, and internal considerations.
