Job summary

Taylor Farms in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Senior Accountant / Senior Financial Analyst to support GAAP accounting, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will partner with plant leadership, operations, and corporate finance to deliver insights, build financial models, and improve reporting and processes. This role requires strong Excel skills and ERP/BI experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, deferrals, prepaid amortization, depreciation, and reclassifications.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data is complete, accurate, and recorded in accordance with GAAP and company policy.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity, investigate variances, and provide clear explanations of financial results, trends, and business drivers to management.
• Prepare, maintain, and analyze financial reports, dashboards, budgets, forecasts, and key performance indicators for plant and corporate leadership.
• Support annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, long-range planning, and financial projection processes.
• Partner with operations, plant leadership, accounting, and corporate finance teams to provide financial insight into production performance, cost trends, margin performance, profitability, and business opportunities.
• Build and maintain financial models to support pricing, profitability analysis, cost savings initiatives, capital projects, and operational decision-making.
• Prepare account reconciliations, roll-forward schedules, supporting documentation, and management reporting packages for monthly reporting, consolidation, and annual audit requirements.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests by compiling schedules, documentation, and financial analysis in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain, improve, and distribute recurring financial reports, reporting tools, and analyses used by plant and corporate leadership.
• Support process improvement initiatives, internal control activities, reporting automation, and special projects that enhance accounting efficiency, financial visibility, and operational performance.
• Provide backup support for other accounting and finance functions, including payroll, as needed.
