Job summary

Responsibilities include month-end close, journal entries, variance analysis, and cost reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance; manufacturing/defense background preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge; FAR/DFARS/CAS preferred.
• Advanced Excel and ERP experience including Costpoint and Cognos.
• Analytical, organized, and able to manage competing priorities across teams.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Participate in weekly performance review meetings with operations teams.
• Attend production meetings and provide financial analysis to support operational and business decision-making.
• Assist with ad hoc financial and operational analysis to meet management and production team needs.
• Support month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, performing variance analysis, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Contribute to cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining GAAP, FAR/DFARS, CAS, internal controls, and ERP/reporting processes.
• Support monthly budgeting and forecasting processes through cost trend analysis and performance reporting.
• Prepare and analyze weekly cost reports, identifying trends and providing insights to support business and operational decisions.
