Job description

Growing Manufacturing Company | Philadelphia, PA | Fully On-Site

About the Company

Our client is a nearly 100-year-old manufacturing company with a strong reputation as the original manufacturer of a highly specialized product category. The company recently purchased a new manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, representing a major investment in its future.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a company with a long history while being part of a significant transformation and growth story.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth, the company is adding an FP&A / Business Planning Analyst to its finance team.

This is a highly visible position reporting directly to the CFO, with significant interaction with senior leadership and ownership. The ideal candidate will be an A-player with at least 3 years of FP&A experience, with manufacturing experience strongly preferred.

This person will play an important role in helping leadership understand the financial and operational drivers of the business, evaluate investments and initiatives, monitor KPIs, and make data-driven decisions.

We're looking for someone who understands that FP&A is about more than reporting numbers. You should be able to look at the data, understand what is driving the results, evaluate ROI, and recommend what the business should do next.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the CFO and senior leadership to analyze business performance and support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, budgets, and business plans
  • Own and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Participate in regular KPI meetings with senior leadership
  • Evaluate the ROI and financial impact of business initiatives and investments
  • Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and operational performance
  • Identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
  • Analyze actual results versus budget and forecast and investigate key variances
  • Partner with operational and cross-functional teams to understand business drivers
  • Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
  • Help build scalable reporting and planning processes as the company continues to grow
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support strategic projects for the CFO and ownership

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of FP&A or related financial analysis experience
  • Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of ROI, profitability, and financial drivers
  • Highly analytical and metrics-driven mindset
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills

Why Join?

This is a unique opportunity to join an established company at a pivotal point in its growth.

  • High visibility: Report directly to the CFO with regular exposure to senior leadership and ownership
  • Meaningful impact: Your analysis will directly influence business decisions around growth, investment, operations, and profitability
  • Career growth: Join during a period of significant expansion with opportunities to grow alongside the organization
  • Experienced leadership: Work alongside a highly accomplished executive team with backgrounds at major global companies
  • High-caliber team: Although the organization is relatively small, it operates with the sophistication, talent, and resources of a much larger company
  • Major investment in growth: A new manufacturing facility and expanded CNC capabilities will create significant opportunities to increase capacity and scale the business

Location & Schedule

This is a fully on-site position.

The company is currently located in West Philadelphia and will transition to a newly renovated facility in Philadelphia's Port Richmond neighborhood in May 2027.

The future facility will feature:

  • Modern, open office space
  • Expanded manufacturing capabilities
  • New CNC machinery
  • Large on-site parking lot

Candidates must be comfortable working fully on-site at both the current West Philadelphia facility and the future Port Richmond location.
