Berkley Corporation's Berkley Management Protection unit seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to drive short- and long-term results by building KPIs, analyzing performance, and supporting departmental strategies. You will analyze monthly/quarterly results, close processes, develop financial models and dashboards in Power BI, and collaborate across functions to guide operational decisions and forecast scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• MBA with accounting/finance focus
• Comparable advanced professional education

Responsibilities

• Analyze and compare monthly and quarterly results, metrics, and key performance indicators against plan and other benchmarks.
• Execute the department’s strategies and key initiatives through special projects as assigned.
• Utilize data-driven insights to uncover behavioral patterns within agency operations and enhance performance across key metrics.
• Collaborate throughout the organization to improve overall efficiencies.
• Perform month-end close activities and related entries and reconciliations within established deadlines.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines throughout the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Perform detailed analysis of internal financial data, including profit and loss statements, financial reports, revenues, direct expenses, and commissions.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models and dashboards to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
• Partner with business units to provide financial guidance and support for operational and strategic decisions.
• Evaluate external and internal intelligence to provide actionable insight into the current market landscape.
• Maintain Power BI reports for accuracy, quality, and relevance.
