Please review the following job description:

Serve as a strategic business consultant to specified lines of business (LOBs), providing financial analysis and guidance to support key decisions and initiatives, including new product development, pricing, profitability, expense efficiency, value creation ideas, new investment business cases, and potential divestiture or acquisition opportunities. Prepare management information and insights to guide decision-making and evaluate financial performance against plans, prior periods, and strategic goals. Support and develop recurring short- and long-term financial forecasts and the annual financial plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Collaborate across the Finance division to ensure financial integrity, sound controls, and procedures. Support reporting and analysis for various constituencies, including the Board of Directors, Investor Relations, and regulatory agencies.
  2. Apply in-depth knowledge within your professional discipline to produce relevant financial analysis and reporting.
  3. Compile, review, analyze, and submit accurate monthly reports related to the Bank's financial performance or strategy, including projections, forecasts, regulatory interpretations, variance analysis, and trend summaries. Ensure data reliability and support data integrity initiatives. Interpret and summarize results for Senior Leadership.
  4. Use experience and best practices to solve complex operational or technical problems through data analysis, judgment, and innovative solutions. Prepare materials for senior leadership discussing issues and solutions.
  5. Review monthly financial close, forecasting, and planning processes for accuracy. Automate retrieval of financial data and develop economic models as needed, maintaining documentation to support data integrity.
  6. Become a subject matter expert on products, fees, regulatory requirements, and business cycles. Maintain knowledge of GAAP and deepen understanding of complex accounting and profitability nuances.
  7. Provide monthly performance review packages to LOB leadership, explaining changes and trends for discussions with Senior Financial Officers and Leadership. Monitor financial performance for specified LOBs to identify significant trends and opportunities.
  8. Maintain strong relationships with supported business areas and cross-functional departments to ensure high-quality work and resolve complex issues.
  9. Coordinate with internal and external audits and examinations, assisting in risk management and business continuity planning as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent.
  • Five years of relevant experience with complex financial analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and consider broader implications.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CPA, CMA, or CFA certification.
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • Financial services or industry-specific experience.
  • Proficiency in Essbase/Hyperion, EPM/BPC, or similar software.
  • Experience with macros/VBA.
