Shaw Construction is seeking a Financial Analyst in Denver to support forecasting, budgeting, and tax forecasting. You will work with accounting and finance teams, driving accuracy in financial reporting and KPI analysis while contributing to strategic initiatives.

The role requires a strong accounting foundation, 7 years of experience, and proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Construction industry familiarity is a plus, with opportunities for growth and collaboration across departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Minimum 7 years of financial accounting and reporting experience.
• Solid grasp of GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Preferred: Construction, homebuilding, or similar industry experience.
• Experience with Viewpoint Vista and Prophix is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting: update billing forecasts for six operating companies and support monthly updates.
• Budgeting: assist in annual budget process and variance analysis for exec review.
• Income Taxes: prepare tax reconciliations and forecasted distributions.
• Analysis: perform cost, working capital, and key ratio analyses.
• Other Reporting: compile monthly management reports and bank covenants.
• Special Projects: assist with chart of accounts conversion and FP&A tool implementation.
• Other: coordinate with outside counsel for filings and HUD-related tasks.
