Job Details

This role is responsible for supporting the Community Retail and Long Term Care (CRLTC) business segment's financial planning and management reporting processes. The role includes consolidating business unit results and performing financial analysis of business operations.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare monthly estimates, annual budgets, and long-term financial plans, including related summary commentary and analysis.
2. Assist in the preparation of the monthly reporting package and other business presentations; prepare ad hoc reports as needed.
3. Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders and business partners to ensure financial plans and analyses are accurate, complete, and timely.
4. Develop, coordinate, and prepare operating expense plans and estimates.
5. Develop, coordinate, and prepare balance sheet and free cash flow forecasts.
6. Assist with month-end close and allocation processes.
7. Analyze operating income components and report significant variances.
8. Prepare reports on key business drivers and trends.
9. Strive for continuous process improvement in assigned areas.
10. Generate ad hoc analysis reports as needed.
11. Perform related duties as assigned.

Education and Work Experience

A four-year Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. An MBA or CPA is preferred. The candidate should have at least four (4) years of directly related and progressively responsible experience. Relevant fields of training include business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer sciences, generally obtained through a bachelor's degree program.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strong understanding of financial processes and systems.
• Proficiency in data analysis and data mining tools, including SAP, Hyperion Essbase, MS Access, MS Excel, SQL, and other reporting tools.
• Strong knowledge of profitability analysis.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to establish good relationships and drive change across organizational boundaries.
• Strong business acumen in economics and finance, understanding operational impacts.
• Understanding of business goals to oversee financial assets effectively.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
