Job summary

Gen is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in NYC to join the Analytics & Decisioning team. You will own financial reporting, SQL/dbt models, and customer-economics analyses to inform accounting and forecasting decisions.

The role requires 3+ years in financial analysis within fintech or financial services, strong SQL, and Python skills, plus experience with LTV/CLR analytics and dashboards.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills for querying large financial datasets and building dashboards.
• Experience with Python for financial modeling (pandas, numpy).
• Knowledge of accounting principles including revenue recognition and period-close processes.
• Experience contributing to LTV, CLR, or cohort-based analytics frameworks.
• Data visualization skills with Tableau/Looker or similar BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain financial reporting workstreams including dashboards and analyses for accounting and FP&A teams.
• Document and communicate business logic underlying financial models for traceability.
• Translate accounting principles into SQL/dbt models with guidance on complex rules.
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A on period-close deliverables and ad hoc data requests.
• Contribute to cohort analyses across customer segments, products and channels; build actionable insights.
• Produce regular reports on customer health metrics with clear interpretation and next steps.
• Maintain reports tracking MoneyLion Membership economics and revenue metrics.
• Develop Python-based workflows for financial modeling and scenario analysis tasks.
