Job summary

Gen, a global fintech company, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its MoneyLion Analytics & Decisioning team in NYC. You will own financial reporting, build SQL/dbt models, and develop Python-based workflows to support accounting, forecasting, and customer economics.

You will partner with Finance, Data Science, Product, and Engineering to translate accounting principles into actionable analytics and drive data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Math, Stats or CS
• 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or quantitative analytics (fintech/financial services preferred)
• Strong SQL skills; dbt experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain financial reporting workstreams and dashboards for accounting and FP&A
• Document and communicate the business logic behind financial models
• Translate accounting principles into SQL and dbt models with guidance
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A on period-close deliverables and ad hoc data requests
• Contribute to cohort-level analyses (LTV/CLR) across segments and channels
• Produce regular reporting on customer health metrics with clear insights
• Track MoneyLion Membership economics and revenue metrics
• Develop Python-based workflows for financial modeling and scenario analysis
