Job summary

Virtu Financial is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support a broad range of finance, accounting, reporting, and data-driven workstreams across the organization. This role will partner with the SEC Reporting Manager, Controllers and CFO to drive high quality analysis, improve reporting outputs, strengthen processes and enhance the team's operating capability.

The ideal candidate will combine solid grounding in financial reporting with strong data and reporting capabilities, including

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in audit, financial reporting, or a related accounting / reporting function.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting and reporting fundamentals.
• Experience with supporting SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, or internal management reporting for public company strongly preferred.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus

Responsibilities

• Support a range of finance, accounting, and reporting workstreams across the team including both external and internal reporting
• Prepare and maintain internal management reporting, recurring reporting packages, and ad hoc analyses
• Work with large and complex datasets to support reporting, variance analysis, and management insights. Investigate, reconcile, and explain data, reporting across multiple sources
• Help design, build, and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and data outputs using SQL, Tableau, or other BI tools
• Support quarter-end and year-end reporting cycles, including audit support and documentation requests
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate manual workflows, and enhance data quality and control
• Assist with special projects related to reporting, systems, data governance, and finance process improvement

Candidate Profile

• Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting, and reporting processes
• Able to work across both external reporting and internal reporting / analytics
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage deadlines in a high-accountability environment
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate, reconcile, and explain data issues
• Effective communicator who can work well across finance, audit, and data / technology stakeholders

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in audit, financial reporting, or a related accounting / reporting function
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong understanding of accounting and reporting fundamentals
• Experience with supporting SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, or internal management reporting for public company strongly preferred
• Strong data and analytical skills, including excel, SQL, Tableau, or other BI tools.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus
