Job summary

University of Texas at Dallas is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead the finance team for the Bass School. You will ensure timely, accurate financial data, run complex analyses, and prepare monthly reports for leadership and budget managers.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, you will supervise staff, manage fund types, oversee One Card activity, and ensure compliance with university policies and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related area is required.
• 3-5 years experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP Accounting Systems.
• 5-7 years progressively responsible related financial/accounting/budgeting experience.
• 1-3 years capital accounting and/or budgeting experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial subject matter expert for the Bass School, ensuring timeliness and accuracy of all financial data.
• Prepare a variety of financial reports, transactions, and complex analyses and projections.
• Create and distribute monthly financial reporting to School leadership and budget managers.
• Provide variance explanations and strategic insights to support decision-making.
• Act as right hand to the Director of Finance & Administration on financial planning and operations.
• Oversee monthly reconciliation of all funds and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Inform and guide budget managers on appropriate fund usage.
• Invoice and reconcile revenue on a monthly basis.
• Manage all One Card activity, including review and audit preparedness.
• Train cardholders and staff on procedures and compliance.
• Oversee grants from a financial perspective and ensure compliance.
• Communicate annual funding to faculty and serve as their funding contact.
• Supervise administrative staff and ensure operational efficiency.
