Job summary

The Senior Financial Analyst at The University of Texas at Dallas serves as the finance team lead and financial SME for the Bass School. This role ensures timely and accurate financial data, develops complex analyses and projections, and supports leadership with strategic insights.

Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration, the position oversees all financial transactions, guides fund types, and supervises administrative staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area.
• 3-5 years experience with PeopleSoft or other ERP accounting systems.
• 5-7 years progressively responsible financial/accounting/budgeting experience.
• 1-3 years capital accounting and/or budgeting experience.
• Equivalency considered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the financial subject matter expert for the Bass School and ensure timely, accurate data.
• Prepare a variety of financial reports, transactions, analyses and projections.
• Create and distribute monthly financial reporting to leadership and budget managers.
• Provide variance explanations and strategic insights to support decision-making.
• Supervise administrative staff within the finance team.
