Job summary

The University of Texas System Administration is seeking a Financial Data Analyst to support data-informed decision making for budgets and financial reporting across UT institutions.

You will develop and maintain dashboards, assist in monthly and annual reports, and help create policies and procedures for data systems. This role offers a hybrid work environment in Austin, Texas, with opportunities to influence financial governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, business analytics or related field with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of governmental accounting, budgeting and a legislative appropriations process.
• Strong strategic thinking and clear communication of objectives.
• Knowledge of common office and analytical software.
• Internally motivated to deliver high-quality work and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Research and provide financial information to support budget decisions for UT System Administration and UT Institutions.
• Assist in monthly and annual financial reports and the annual operating budget development.
• Support policy and procedure development for department operations and act as SME for data systems and dashboards.
• Support data analysis for legislative reporting.
• Support business services across UT System Administration departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
