About the Role:

This leadership role is integral to Confluent’s P&L forecasting process. Reporting to the Director, the role ensures financial accuracy and provides strategic insights for finance leaders. Responsibilities include updating and building forecasting models based on complex datasets monthly and synthesizing P&L trends for quarterly executive and board meetings. This position requires cross-functional collaboration with Investor Relations, Revenue FP&A, Accounting, and Operations.

What You Will Do:

• Manage P&L forecasts proactively by analyzing variances, identifying insights, and communicating risks, opportunities, and business drivers.
• Present findings regularly to finance leaders including the CFO, SVP of Finance, and VP of Corporate FP&A.
• Refine and maintain driver-based financial models to analyze historical and projected spend and profitability.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships to improve forecast accuracy, processes, automation, and measurement rigor.
• Deliver precise quantitative and qualitative analyses efficiently.

What You Will Bring:

• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in finance within SaaS, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or related areas.
• Expertise in financial analysis and model development.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets/Slides.
