Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for the AWS Network Finance team in Seattle. You will build financial models to analyze data transfer costs and support pricing decisions for the AWS network across regions and services.

You will partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to quantify financial benefits of new networking initiatives, drive cost efficiency, and deliver automated reporting. Strong SQL and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in tax, finance or related analytical field.
• 4+ years of automating processes and analysis.
• 4+ years of improving finance tools and processes.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or related analytical field; or 3+ years in quantitative role.
• Experience with advanced SQL for data mining and business intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Own development of financial models that measure the actual and marginal cost of data transfer across the AWS Network.
• Work with engineering to quantify financial benefits of new.network initiatives or cost of new AWS products/services.
• Build automated reporting tools to track the consumption of network resources used by AWS services.
• Represent Network Finance in collaboration with other finance teams to assess cost reduction initiatives.
