Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Sr. Financial Analyst to join the AWS Network Finance team. You will build financial models to measure marginal costs of data transfer and evaluate financial benefits of network initiatives, partnering with engineering and finance across the infrastructure group.

You will develop subject matter expertise in AWS networking and lead cost reduction efforts while delivering automated reporting and insightful analyses that influence pricing and strategic direction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
• 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience.
• 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience.
• Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence.
• 3+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience.
• 3+ years of contributing to cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the development of financial models that measure the actual and marginal cost of data transfer across the AWS Network
• Work closely with engineering business partners to identify and quantify the financial benefits of new technical initiatives within AWS Networking or the networking cost associated with new AWS products and services
• Build automated reporting tools to track the consumption of network resources used by AWS services
• Represent Network Finance in collaboration with finance teams across the infrastructure organization to assess wide-ranging cost reduction initiatives
